All women of St. Clare parish are automatically members!
Our SIS ministry began in 2004, as we led Emmaus Retreats for the women of St. Clare.
Today our parish enjoys Moms groups and SIS monthly meetings for prayerful fellowship and support.
We stay connected via our newsletter, our monthly meetings, and our email list. If you would like to be added to our email list, see our contact page.
SIS can connect the St Clare women to our Mom’s Groups, or share hospitality at our monthly meetings, or through our prayer requests.
We send out prayer requests to our email list. This means people are praying for our intentions even outside our state and country! Please email Joanie: joanieq143@gmail.com with your prayer requests.
We had a spirit filled gathering, complete with multiple Marys, a five month old baby, laughter, tears, and prayer and song! If you missed it - we missed YOU! Join us next month on Saturday, Dec 7th!
Here is the prayer Sheila shared, some of you asked for it in the newsletter:
Come Holy Spirit, fill my heart with your holy gifts. Let my weakness be penetrated with your strength this very day that I may fulfill all the duties of my state conscientiously. Let my charity be such as to offend no one, hurt no one's feelings. Assist me Oh Holy Spirit in all my trials of life: enlighten me in my ignorance, advise me in my doubts, strengthen me in my weakness. Help me in all my needs: assist me in temptations and console me in afflictions. Graciously hear me, Oh Holy Spirit, and pour your light into my heart, my soul, and my mind. Assist me to live a holy life and to grow in goodness and grace. Amen.
(from Prayers for All Occasions from the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception, Washington, D.C.)

Sheila's tour of our stained glass saints was lovely!
At first glance, this looks like a beautiful sunset over the mighty ocean - but look closer! I took this at sunset at 10,000 feet - above the clouds! And look at all the people we shared this beauty with that one day. It felt like a perspective of heaven!
This Easter is especially poignant for me, having just lost my mom, and I know many of our sisters in the Spirit share painful losses. But the glory be to God, as hope endures and the resurrection reminds all of us that our true loves will join us in His glory again someday.
I enjoy the blogs on Walking With Purpose, a Catholic Women’s website, and Mallory Smith has an interesting perspective for this weekend. She asks at the end, “What are you longing for the Lord to make new in your life? In what ways is this unresolved situation affecting you? Do you see signs of God’s life? If so, where?” If you would like to read her blog for this weekend of resurrection, click below on “Learn More”
May God bless you and your family abundantly today and always,
Joanie
“SIS has been a God-send to me! I love all the women I am meeting; women of faith, women of different generations! I live far from my family, and I have found connections in SIS that are like family!"
If you are a women of St. Clare, you are already a SIS
